surviving my youth and the early bethel years.
randy at 15 with moe .
Thanks for posting this here Randy. I'm also looking forward to the next parts.
but i will now try harder than ever......................oompa
Wrong statement oompa!
You aretaking your life back - you just can't do it all in one go.
It'll be a struggle to keep going forward - you'll fall down occasionally - but as long as you pick yourself back up and continue the struggle, you are taking back your life.
m'kay?
not my words.
not my total sentiments.
but it made me think, and that is the only reason i posted it.
Nice!
I could actually imagine Jesus saying that - minus the bad language of course!
He already said something similar when he walked the earth - see Matthew 23!
dear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
Thanks for that CoCo - I sometimes wonder if I don't worry enough now lol so that was a good article to read. It's all about healthy balance I guess.
I passed the telephone interview yayy! I have to wait for a face to face one now. I've enjoyed my day in today - back to the shop tomorrow, we're going to start moving things out then.
Gotta go cook tea (dinner!) now - I have the remains of Sunday's chicken and some veggies so its 'chickenbone soup'
Have a good day all.

LOL!!
This one looks like it needs livening up a bit, its that long since anyone signed, it may not be vetted either - its a hobby page rather than full-on JW, but he has more interests than zits etc! He's even had a visit from latindimples (in 2002 lol), I can't believe it!:
Hey are JWs supposed to like military vehicles and all that sc-fi fantasy stuff?
Aww this guy's just too nice - but there's lots to talk about, might be a potential deconversion!
all are welcome!.

Aww shucks brinjen
Is it worth posing as genuine just so we can find out who's in the webring? Maybe they might not all be so secure!
You could email her to tell her she spelt 'opposors' wrong lol!
hi again, debating again with my favorite jw and the issue of grace became a firestorm.
my contention is that epesians 2:8-9 says it all but i get the arguement that "that's too easy" and shouldn't i have to do something.
my point is if i earn it it's not grace.
Ask them this - if their close friend/spouse GAVE them a gift - would they then insist on paying them for it? Would they refuse the gift saying 'Sorry, I don't deserve this'?
Grace is a gift, a free gift - one of the few JWisms I like, even though it doesn't adequately encompass the meaning of grace - it is UNDESERVED kindness!
From the Oxford Online dictionary:
• adjectivenot warranted, merited, or earned.
